Surrender 001 is one of my first works—a foundational gesture in what would become choreo-photolism. In it, I sit still, dusted in white, balanced on rough stones, encased in a glass dome with antennae jutting out like thoughts trying to escape. I was exploring exhaustion, isolation, and the fragile line between performance and collapse. The ghosted arms behind me speak to movement past and memory lingering. This wasn’t just about creating an image—it was about learning to be still and to listen. Even in surrender, there’s choreography. Even in silence, everything dances. Looking back now, I see this piece as both a beginning and a blueprint.
